K~W~A: Events

This was one of the best concerts that I have been to or been involved with. The concert was definitely blessed of God and the anointing was present. From the opening song to the benediction. There were a couple other groups there: Future Generations & Psalms 150. Brother J. C. of WJFP, 91.1 and First Lady C. Jenkins were the Master and Mistress of Ceremony. All groups ministered with style and under God's anointing. KWA sang two songs after which the band picked up "I Wanna Be Holy" and played on for about 15-20 minutes. Then the place went into pentacost for another 30 minutes. The anointing fell in the place and it was the presence of God fully manifested from that moment on. Dontavies Boatwright is a gifted singer and minister of God. He has a sure vision and we are most definitely praying that God will grant him that which he desires and we know that God will do what He has promised to do in him. We look forward to working together again in the future.

What can I say. This event was definitely a success. The youth came out and ministered in a fashion that I can only describe as extraordinary. This rally will continue as Pastor Moore has heard from God and we are excited to continue to be a part of what God is doing in Jacksonville. Look for more news and visit with site at myspace.

Wow!! What a wonderful time in the Lord we had tonight. Elder Jimmy Hicks was amazingly anointed. He spoke a word from one of the songs on his lastest album, "This Kind". K W A opened for him with 5 songs of our own, three from the album. The crowed was small but they entered into worship and we had an absolute great time in the Lord. We are looking forward to working together in the future and Pastor Green has decided that we will return at least yearly if not semi-annually for a concert and preaching. We have just met and become involved with another part of our family and we feel blessed to have been united with them.

This weekend was one of the most anointed weekends K W A has experienced yet. It started out with meeting the host pastor and his family. Pastor Tony and his first lady, Wanda, welcomed us with open arms. They have two beautiful children (Alisha and Sentil). We then went to Anointed Light Church in Eutawville where the host pastor is Apostle Adam Gaines. K W A sang five (5) songs and of course Pastor Russ ministered the word in between songs. This was their youth night and there were several young people from that church that sang songs. On Saturday, we were at the Tru-Gospel Music Store on Porsher Av in Eutawville, for a live promotional. There was a radio interview during this time with Pastor Green at 1440AM WJBS. Then we spent time on a tour of North Charleston with Pastor Green and Wanda. They took us to the mall and then we went site seeing. The area was just gorgeous with a strong sense of history. On Sunday we had "a high time in the Lord". We were with Pastor Green at his church that morning, Fellowship in Christ Ministries in Holly Hill, where Pastor Russ preached the word and K W A again sang four (4) songs. Then we fellowshipped with Apostle King of Covenant Life Evangelistic Center in Moncks Corner where we again sang five (5) songs during their "Holiday Tea". On Monday morning as we were leaving we heard one of the songs on the radio and Pastor Green was talking about the very anointed weekend we had experienced. We had such a wonderful time that we are considering returning later this month and next month. Thank God for His presence and His blessings.

This was a very exciting trip. It was our first time in Texas and what little we were able to see we enjoyed. The concert went off well with many local groups showing up and praising God with their gifts and talents. KWA was the only out of state ministry team in attendance. The teams ranged from solo artist "rapping" for Jesus to family groups doing some of the same as well as praise and worship teams and contemporary gospel artists. We met many of the artists and one such group is receiving air play in our area - Endurance. We have been invited to return to Texas to conduct a week-long revival at the host church, Spirit of Praise Ministries and Holiness Church, and to also get involved in other venues with some of the other ministry teams. We certainly thank God for what He did for us in Texas. We received the same responses there as we do here when someone hears our music. So we know that the anointing that these songs carry transcends city, county and state lines.

Heart of Worship is a new ministry just a couple months old and they are doing a great work. It was such a pleasure to minister in song at for this ministry. There were three very inspiring speakers for that day and they all brought a thought provoking and enlightening word. We truly thank Pastor Green and his wife and look forward to seeing them again in October when we will be returning.

The CD Release Party "Celebration" was a great success. In attendance was Sandy Mack, who rendered one selection from his new demo album; The Avenue "D" Boys Choir who rendered several selections, and Frederic Jackson (Spirit of Praise Music), who rendered a couple selections. Frederic Jackson has cassettes, cd's, videos and dvd's available for all your gospel music needs. He can be contacted by calling 772) 468-0600. There were approximately 75 people in attendance. Family and friends of KWA. Most were already familiar with each other and some new friendships were developed. There was also some networking of new local artists and information sharing. The food, catered by JoJo's Wings, was very good. The photographer, Lorenzo Davis of www.lodavisproduction.com, was a big hit. He also took individual pictures of the people in attendance. Many people commented on what a great time they had and there were even telephone calls made during the weekend to comment on the celebration. KWA wishes to thank everyone that attended and is grateful to God for such a successful event.

The Men's Anniversary went over really well. The service opened with the Avenue "D" Boys Choir, who will be featured at the Release Party this weekend. KWA rendered three selections. We opened with "Here I am to worship" by Isreal. We sang that accapella. Then we sang "23", "Greater Is He", and "He Was There". There were people there who had not heard about us or the CD and were given an opportunity to meet us. We also sold copies of the CD. Many came up to us to tell us how they enjoyed the music and would purchase the CD. Thank God for every opportunity and thank God for Deacon Boatwright for inviting us.
